How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Step-by-Step Setup
- Log In to Your Account
- Open your account on a web browser or mobile app.
- Go to Security Settings
- Navigate to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
- Choose a 2FA Method
- Authenticator App (Recommended): Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.
- SMS/Phone Verification: Receive codes via text message.
- Set Up the Authenticator/App
- If using an authenticator app, scan the QR code displayed on your screen.
- If using SMS, enter your phone number and verify it.
- Enter Verification Code
- Open your authenticator app or check your SMS.
- Enter the 6-digit code into the account setup page.
- Confirm and Enable 2FA
- Click Confirm, Activate, or Enable depending on your platform.
- Backup Codes (Optional but Recommended)
- Save backup codes provided by the system.
- Use these codes if you lose access to your phone or authenticator app.
